Reconstructing Cell Complexes From Cross-sections
Many interesting segmentations take the form of cell complexes. We present a method to infer a 3D cell complex from of a series of 2D cross-sections. We restrict our attention to the class of complexes whose duals resemble triangulations. This class includes microstructures of polycrystalline materials, as well as other cellular structures found in nature. Given a prescribed matching of 2D cell...
متن کاملStress Waves in a Generalized Thermo Elastic Polygonal Plate of Inner and Outer Cross Sections
The stress wave propagation in a generalized thermoelastic polygonal plate of inner and outer cross sections is studied using the Fourier expansion collocation method. The wave equation of motion based on two-dimensional theory of elasticity is applied under the plane strain assumption of generalized thermoelastic plate of polygonal shape, composed of homogeneous isotropic material. The freque...
متن کاملAdaptive Simplicial Grids from Cross-Sections of Monotone Complexes
We study the maintenance of a simplicial grid or complex under changing density requirements. The proposed method works in any xed dimension and generates grids by projecting cross-sections of a monotone simplicial complex that lives in one dimension higher than the grid. The density of the grid is adapted by locally moving the cross-section up or down along the extra dimension.
متن کاملOn System of Generalized Vector Quasiequilibrium Problems with Applications
We introduce a new system of generalized vector quasiequilibrium problems which includes system of vector quasiequilibrium problems, system of vector equilibrium problems, and vector equilibrium problems, and so forth in literature as special cases. We prove the existence of solutions for this system of generalized vector quasi-equilibrium problems. Consequently, we derive some existence results...

and Applied Analysis 3 0 in any metric linear spaces. Let X,Λ,M, Y be metric linear spaces. Let Y ∗ be the topological dual space of Y . Let C ⊂ Y be a pointed, closed, and convex cone with intC/ ∅, where intC denotes the interior of C. Let C∗ : {f ∈ Y ∗ : f y ≥ 0, for all y ∈ C} be the dual cone of C. Since intC/ ∅, the dual cone C∗ of C has a weak∗ compact base. Letting e ∈ intC be given, the...
